Parimala& co. (Tamil) is a poor man’s Drishyam. It draws heavily from it to centre around a middle class family dealing with the murder investigation of a local rowdy who constantly eve teases their two daughters. The director then adds his twist by adding a zillion other characters all with some motive or the other to kill this vagabond. Jayram and Sanjana as father and elder daughter do well; Urvashi overacts ;Myskin suffers from playing an overthought police character and rest of the cast swing between just passing by or being bad. The humour is good in jumps and starts but the story line and narration exasperates. See it to realise how a movie can be stuffed with something going on all the time to distract the viewer from its overall mediocrity.
