The Journey Behind MedpeR®

The idea behind MedpeR® received early recognition when the founding team emerged among the
winners of the India Innovation Challenge Design Contest (IICDC) 2017, an innovation initiative
supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, Texas
Instruments and IIM Bangalore.

The team subsequently received incubation support from NSRCEL, IIM Bangalore, where the concept
evolved through interactions with healthcare professionals, patients and caregivers.

Recognition and Impact

MedpeR® has been reviewed and appreciated under the NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South
Gloucestershire Personalised Medication Support Service (Tech Review Phase III, July 2025).
MedpeR® has found mention in multiple prestigious publications including the Journal of
Diabetology. It is a patented solution.

The solution has also been featured in the Atlas of TB Innovations, a national repository curated
jointly by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare
(MoHFW), National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP), Department of Health Research
(DHR), the Gates Foundation and The Union.

These recognitions highlight the growing importance of medication adherence solutions in improving
patient outcomes and supporting home-based care.
