New Delhi to Srinagar Vande Bharat is set to launch in January 2025

The New Delhi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Sleeper train will redefine overnight travel between India’s capital and Jammu and Kashmir. This advanced train promises faster, more comfortable journeys, benefiting both tourists and business travellers.

The train will cover over 800 km in less than 13 hours. Departing from New Delhi at 7 PM and arriving in Srinagar by 8 AM, the overnight service saves passengers precious daytime hours. The train will run along the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL), a critical route designed to enhance rail connectivity in Jammu and Kashmir. This new route not only reduces travel time but also ensures a smoother and faster journey for passengers.

With limited stops at major stations like Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jammu Tawi, and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, the Vande Bharat Sleeper minimises delays while ensuring connectivity with significant cities.

The New Delhi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Sleeper train is a product of India’s dedication to advancing its railway infrastructure. Manufactured by Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML), the train was unveiled by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in September 2024.
