Mumbai to Goa by Vista Dome – Raghunath Ramaswamy

The Konkan Railway is an engineering marvel. A distance of 765 kilometers from Mumbai to Goa is to be covered in about 9 hours. The Travel takes you through 72 lovely tunnels. The architectural marvel is one of India’s greatest achievements and is mind boggling.

Travelling by Vista Dome helps you to savor the beauty to its heart’s content. The seats are spacious and can be rotated 360 degrees. Each compartment of the train is designed very well to bring out the child in each adult. Highly recommended. A trip that must be experienced.

Vistadome is available on both the Tejas and Jan Shatabdi. I took the Tejas. Both trains leave early morning from Chatrapathi Shivaji Terminal in Mumbai . It is advisable to pack your sandwhich or fruits as the food isn’t great. Remember to take the other entrance as the train leaves from platform no 18. Of course the station is equipped with escalaters should you enter through the main entrance.
